Cactus Kids Art Club provides your little artist with weekly, structured, progressive art lessons focusing on one specific art medium for a block of time so they become competent in that medium before moving on to a new medium. Lessons can be completed at any time during the week.
Kids will be exposed to acrylic paint, watercolors, soft pastels, oil pastels, graphite and charcoal, as well as other mediums that will be chosen based on their feedback.
Lessons will include introductions to well-known artists with one or more projects based on their styles and techniques.
No need to scour supply lists and spend time and money shopping for each thing your child needs to complete the lessons. High quality art supplies will be shipped to your door each month!
Private community built just for members of the club where we can share artwork, give and get feedback, ask questions, and get ideas from others. (This community is on our private membership page - not on Facebook)
Optional monthly live art class where we can all have fun and create together!
Quarterly guests artists who will share one of their favorite projects in the medium we are currently focusing on.
In the Cactus Kids Art Club, I help art-loving kids who are craving creative guidance by providing structured, fun, and educational art lessons using supplies shipped right to their door so they can grow their skills in art mediums and techniques.
Cactus Kids Art Club is a membership-style online art education program and art supply box designed for kids in 1st-8th grades. Little artists will learn the basics of using different art mediums such as watercolors, acrylic paint, soft pastels, oil pastels, and graphite. We will have blocks of 2-3 months where we will focus on a specific medium and build a progressive, in-depth knowledge of how to work with that medium. Each month, a box of supplies will be shipped to your door with all the materials we will be using in lessons that month.
Cactus Kids Art Club is designed for art-loving kids in 1st-8th grade, although any age is welcome to participate. Parents are encouraged to follow along and even participate with their kids if desired! Anyone in the immediate household of the person purchasing the membership may participate at no extra cost, but extra supplies may be required if multiple children are participating.
Supply boxes will be shipped within the continental United States only due to shipping costs.
The Cactus Kids Art Club membership includes:
-Access to an online portal with immediate access to a growing library of simple art projects that can be done at any time.
-New lessons released each week that build on the week before. Lessons can be done at any time during the week.
-A box of art supplies shipped to your door each month.
-Once monthly (optional) live art party.
-A community built just for little artists in the membership where we can share our artwork, get ideas, ask questions, and give feedback to others. (This is not a Facebook community)
How exciting is it to get a package in the mail? I hope that the monthly box of art supplies will help keep kids excited about trying new things! I also have a strong belief that kids who have a desire to create art should have access to high quality art supplies. By sending out the supplies, we all have the same products to use, so there is no confusion on products, and it also takes the stress away from the parents! No need to worry about shopping or ordering supplies!
We hope you will join us for a long time! We will be providing new material each month so your child will never get bored! You can cancel at any time if you decide the membership is not right for your family. But since supply boxes will be mailed in the last 10 days of each month for the following month, you must cancel before the 15th of the month, and membership will end at the end of that month.
We will open the doors for new members every 3 months. During each block of 3 months, we will be focusing on a specific medium and progressing with each lesson, so we won't invite new members to join us until we start a new block of lessons with a new medium.
Your child will need access to a computer or tablet to access the membership page with all our lessons, live classes, and community. If you are able to stream lessons onto a larger TV, that would be even better! You will need an art space where the child can spread out supplies and maybe make a mess. You will need to provide common household items such as a pencil, a paper plate to use as a paint palette, a cup of water to rinse paint brushes, etc. All art supplies such as paint, brushes, pastels, and the surfaces we will be drawing and painting on will be provided in the supply kits.
There will be an option to add additional supply boxes to your membership.
